Disney Towels at Crazy-Low Prices

I am a complete and total Disney freak. I have Disney shirts, watches, bookends, kitchen utensils & appliances…. If it were socially acceptable, I just might use a Disney lunch box as a purse. (Okay, maybe not.) I was so psyched when I saw these Disney beach towels at about 75% off. They’re great quality, and I’m loving the jumbo square ones. These might be a good thing to stock up on, for all those birthday parties the kids will be invited to this year….

Save a lot of moolah on magazine subscriptions

I’ll admit it. I’m a magazine junkie. I get a little fluttery thrill whenever I get a new mag. A while back, though,  I realized that buying mags at cover price was not very wise. Continue reading →

Simple (and safe) toys that you and your kids will love

With all the recalls these days, it’s hard to know what’s safe. (The ones being recalled now were assumed safe just a few weeks ago….) I went in search of toys that I could give to my child without worry. Alexis at The Land of Nod wrote me a reassuring letter, stating: Continue reading →

The High School Musical Craze (and some HSM pajamas for your kids)

I can’t believe how popular this High School Musical thing has become. My kids have been waiting all week for part 2. My daughter had a slumber party tonight. She and her friends watched the movie and gorged on junkfood. My daughter is 15. Seniors in her high school were excited about this show (one of her friends, who is a senior, went to a HSM party across town). I don’t know if these guys carry her size, but I bet she’ll beg for some of the HSM pajamas below when she sees this. (I don’t sell these… clicking on the links will take you to the retailer, who is also offering FREE SHIPPING on orders over $50 [no coupon code needed].)

Have a cell phone? Want $5 free?

Remember when PayPal was a hatchling company, trying to convince people that their online middle-man payment idea was a good thing? They gave $5 to each new member, trying to build up their customer base.

Now, 8 or 9 years later, there’s a new guy in town. With over 200 million cell phone users, it was just a matter of time before someone thought up a way for people to pay one another via cell phone. TextPayMe has invented a brilliant (and secure) way to send money with an text message. Owe a friend $10 for a movie ticket? Text him the money. Owe the Avon lady for that nail polish you ordered? Get your phone.

Until Sept 25 (at 11:59pm PST), TextPayMe will give you $5 for signing up AND $5 for every person you refer. (You can refer by email or by cell phone.)

Free money. Does it get any better than that?

More savings on Back to School clothing – spend $50, get $25
